Preseason
Preseason begins between two to four weeks before Welcome Week at UoN. We're happy to invite prospective players along to our preseason. If you're interested or you have any questions at all, please get in contact with us by emailing hockey-ladies@uonsu.com.
Assessment Days
Assessment Days take place on the 28th and 29th during the first week of Welcome Week in the Autumn term. Everyone is welcome to trial and anyone that does will be offered a place in a tier of Hockey at UoN - this ranges from our Performance teams to our Engage programme. Places within the Performance teams vary each year, and if a student is unsuccessful in their first year of trials we welcome and encourage them to trial again in future years and participate in IMS and Engage in the meanwhile.
More information on trials will be available at the Hockey stand in the Welcome Fair, and via our social media platforms.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
Non-student members are also very welcome at UoNHC and can train and play just as a student can, just without the BUCS competitions. If you’re interested in being an associate member please email head coach Matt Taylor on matt.taylor2@nottingham.ac.uk.

IMS Hockey
The IMS (Intramural Sport) leagues involve teams which are mixed or single gender and 6-a-side or 11-a-side, varying each week. Our Development Squad plays within the IMS Leagues. IMS players showing improvement are encouraged to retrial the following year for our Development or Performance teams.
Just Play Hockey
Just Play sessions are run weekly by the Ladies and Men’s Just Play Secs. They are non-commitment sessions with equipment provided that are open for any student at the University regardless of ability. Whether it's for fun, fitness or to improve your skills!
The session are currently run on a Sunday at David Ross Sports Village Astro. For any questions regarding IMS or Just Play hockey please contact our Just Play Sec Rachael Phillips.
