Here is your men’s 5s Season Summary ππ
This year has been a competitive and successful year for the Funky Fives. Despite some challenges and some unlucky results in BUCS we finished 5th in a league where any team could have won. A few late season results also saw us narrowly miss out on promotion in the weekend league, finishing 3rd. Highlight of the season has to be beating luff 5s last game of the season at home with a last minute winner. Player of the season is Tom Sweeney for his skills on and off the pitch. - Harry Beard

Here is your men’s 3s Season summary ππ
Season Highlight:
While a few memorable Wednesdays stood out with the likes of beating Loughborough at home to secure the league title. The undeniable highlight was the 4–1 away win against Durham in the National Trophy semi-final, securing the 3s their first ever spot in a National Trophy final.
Player of the season:
In a talented 3s squad, the stand out player had to be Ollie Dobson. Coming in as a first year, Dobbie made an immediate impact, showcasing his clinical finishing at corners, scoring a hatrick in both the quarter and semi final of the Cup.
Summary of BUCS:
- Unbeaten BUCS league winners

Here is your Men’s 2s Season Summary for the 24/25 seasonππ
Player of the season - With lots of ups and downs this year one thing was certain. Ben Goold giving 100%. Ben is technically gifted agile speed demon. Causing lots of headaches for our opposition and not only improving his goal tally, but bulking out his physique this year as well. A true example of hardwork paying off.
Highlight of the season - with lots of moments to choose from, the Bucs, the 8-1 drubbing of luff in the semi final, even an 11-0 league win away to magpies. But for me the highlight of the season was the away fixture to Barford tigers. Always a hotly contested match. The game was a thrilling 5-5 draw having gone ahead early we found ourselves 5-3 down in Q4, but we managed to score 2 goals to comeback and share the points. These type of games are true testimony to playing to the final whistle and showed the grit and determination of the side this year when falling behind.
Summary of Bucs - once again a dramatic campaign for the 2s this year. Having won the league for the past 3 years, we finally gave up the title to a very strong Edinburgh side. some mixed results landed us 4th in the league giving us a favourable knockout draw. Seeing off Cambridge, Oxford and Loughborough in a slightly one sided 8-1 win to get to Bucs final for the third consecutive year. We unfortunately lost of shuffles to Edinburgh, but was a game full of goals and a performance to be proud of.
Summary of weekend league - The dreaded conference midlands, filled with many unknowns. The league has definitely tightened up this year with lots of star teams making every game highly competitive. The 2s finished safely this year however slightly off the pace to retain our title. Lots of lessons learnt this year on and off the field. With a gruelling schedule of double game weeks, the 2s definitely struggled before Christmas, but a good turn around after Christmas securing vital wins secured ourselves another season of national league.
- Captain Josh Biddlecombe
